Four killed, seven injured in Jharkhand accident

Giridih, May 8 (PTI) Four persons were killed and seven others sustained serious injuries in an accident in Jharkhand’s Giridih district on Friday evening, police said.

The accident took place at the main market on the old GT Road within Nimiyaghat police station limits when a truck hit three vehicles parked alongside the road, a police officer said.

“Four persons were killed on the spot, while seven others sustained serious injuries around 8:30 pm. Two of the seven injured were taken to a private hospital, while five others were sent to Sadar Hospital for treatment,” Nimiyaghat OC Suman Kumar said.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained, the OC said. PTI RPS MNB
