Four die as car collides with truck in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur, May 3 (PTI) Four people died on the spot when their car collided head-on with a truck in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district on Sunday, officials said.

The accident occurred near Ratanpur village under the Motipur police station area.

According to eyewitnesses, the car, which was coming from the Motihari side, lost control while trying to save a motorcyclist and rammed into an oncoming container truck.

Talking to reporters here, SP (Rural) Rajesh Singh Prabhakar said, “A road accident occurred this afternoon involving a truck and a car. All the occupants of the car died in the accident.” The deceased have been identified as Krishna, Sonu, Mantosh, and Kundan, all residents of Muzaffarpur.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
