Kolkata, Sep 13 (PTI) An electric transformer caught fire inside a power utility building in Sodepur on the northern outskirts of Kolkata, but there was no report of any casualties, an official said.

Five fire tenders were pressed into service to extinguish the blaze, which was reported at 1.10 pm, he said.

The blaze occurred in an electric transformer inside a building on the B T Road in the Sodepur area of North 24 Parganas district, the fire department official said, adding that no one was injured or trapped in the building.
