Lucknow, Sep 14 (PTI) Fire broke out at a grocery shop in Lucknow late on Sunday night, fire department officials said, adding that there were no reports of any casualties in the incident.
The fire broke out on the ground floor of the grocery store owned by Akash Agarwal in ‘Baan Wali Gali’.
“On September 13, at 23:38 hours, the Fire Station Chowk Control Room received information regarding a fire at a grocery store in ‘Baan Wali Gali’, Chowk. It was reported that the fire was active, but no one was trapped inside.
“Acting on this information, two fire tenders, led by the FSSO (Chowk), were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the team observed that the access route was extremely narrow, the fire had intensified, and the alley was filled with smoke,” the Fire Department said in a statement.
The fire tenders were stationed outside, and hose pipes were laid to commence pumping operations. Given the severity of the fire, a third vehicle was summoned to the site, and the blaze was extinguished within about an hour. PTI NAV MNK MNK
