Sambalpur, Sep 14 (PTI) A fire broke out at a Ganesh Puja pandal in Odisha’s Sambalpur city on Monday evening, police said.
There were no reports of any injury or fatality due to the blaze, an officer said.
The incident took place around 8.20 pm after the main puja concluded at the pandal in Deheripali area, he said.
The entire marquee was gutted in the blaze as the structure contained inflammable materials, Fire Officer Sudam Kishko said.
Fire tenders managed to douse the flames after an hour, he said.
The blaze could have erupted from a burning lamp or due to an electrical short circuit, he said.
