New Delhi, Jul 11 (PTI) Two armed men on scooters allegedly robbed a financier’s employee carrying Rs 16 lakh in east Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar area, police said on Saturday.

The robbery took place on Friday when he was transporting cash to his employer’s shop in Gandhi Nagar, they said.

CCTV cameras installed near the shop captured the entire incident. No arrests have been made so far.

According to the police, the employee was parking his vehicle outside the shop when two suspects arrived on a red scooter.

The pillion rider allegedly got off the scooter brandishing a pistol, snatched the bag containing the cash and fled, the police said.

Police have procured the CCTV footage, which shows the movement of two suspects before and during the robbery. They are analysing it to establish the identity of the accused and trace their escape route.

Investigators are also scanning footage from nearby cameras to reconstruct their movements before and after the crime. PTI BM SMV SMV SKY SKY
