Gorakhpur (UP), May 6 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to ensure that all eligible and needy individuals receive Ayushman cards, enabling them to access medical treatment without difficulties, officials said on Wednesday.

The chief minister, who is on a two-day visit to Gorakhpur, listened to the grievances of around 200 people during a ‘janata darshan’ held at the Gorakhnath temple premises at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan for the second consecutive day, they said.

Several people approached him seeking financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses. Adityanath enquired whether they possessed Ayushman cards and assured them that the government would extend all possible help for their treatment.

He instructed officials to ensure that every eligible beneficiary is issued an Ayushman card so that they do not face any hardship in getting medical care.

The chief minister also assured that no one’s treatment would be delayed due to a lack of funds and stated that financial assistance would be made available from the discretionary fund once the hospital estimates are received.

He referred various applications to the relevant administrative and police officials, directing them to address all complaints in a timely, fair, and satisfactory manner.

Adityanath emphasised the importance of promptly resolving public grievances, asserting that officials must ensure the quick redressal of every issue. PTI ABN ABN MDO MPL MPL
