“Engine trouble on our flight to Patna today! We’ve been forced to return to Delhi,” Gandhi tweeted.

A senior Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official said the Hawker 850 XP aircraft VT-KNB returned back to Delhi after take-off due to a technical snag.

“DGCA has initiated investigation as per the laid down procedure,” he told PTI.

The aircraft landed safely in Delhi at 1020 hours. There were ten people on board including two crew members, the official said.

Gandhi, who is on a campaign trail across the country for the Lok Sabha elections, is expected at Samastipur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa) & Sangamner (Maharashta) on Friday.

  1. Air India the most I’ll managed Airline by Bureaucrats who do not not know literal meaning of Aviation and are posted by Ministry of civil AVIATION to run this industry. Inspite of few veterans who gave turn around plan for Air India to vice Chairman Meeting Aayog have been nicely put into waste paper basket.

  2. Was he really air borne or just sitting inside and someone was pushing the helicopter from outside to make it shake. One really doubts what Congress liar can come up with.
