Jaipur, Aug 16 (PTI) Empowering the poor, farmers, youth and women will be crucial to making India a fully developed nation by 2047, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday.
Additionally, he emphasised that the cooperative and dairy sectors have the potential to transform the rural economy and improve the lives of livestock farmers.
Addressing a gathering in Alwar, Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concept of “GYAN” refers to the poor, youth, farmers and women.
“If India has to become a fully developed nation by 2047, the youth, poor, farmers and women will have to be empowered,” Shah said.
He highlighted that Rajasthan currently has around 44,000 cooperative societies and said the government’s goal is to ensure that not a single village is without a cooperative society.
Shah asserted that the Modi government has introduced significant schemes for farmers every year, claiming that from 2014 to 2026, there has not been a single year without a major initiative for the farming community.
He pointed out that the Modi government procured the highest quantity of food grains at minimum support price (MSP), stating, “We will make every village prosperous.” Training his guns on the Congress, Shah claimed that the party’s leaders, including former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and PCC chief, are preoccupied with infighting. “The people of Rajasthan have decided to elect the BJP. Your complete defeat is imminent,” Shah warned the Congress.
During the event, various development projects were inaugurated, and foundation stones for additional initiatives were laid.
