New Delhi, July 14 (PTI) Delhi University on Tuesday released the detailed schedule for physical trials under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) quota for undergraduate admissions, with category-wise and registration number-wise reporting slots scheduled between July 16 and July 25.
The schedule has been issued as the university continues the undergraduate admission process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.
Physical trials for several categories, including dance, debate, music (vocal) and theatre, will begin on July 16, while yoga trials will commence on July 17. Quiz trials will be held on July 20, creative writing on July 21, and digital media, divinity and instrumental music categories from July 21 onwards.
Dance trials at Bharati College have been scheduled from July 16 to 25 across Indian Classical, Indian Folk, Western and Choreography sub-categories, while debate trials at Ramjas College will be held from July 16 to 25 for both Hindi and English categories.
Creative Writing (Hindi) candidates will appear for their trial on July 21 at 2 pm, while English candidates have been divided into two batches on the same day based on registration numbers. Hansraj College has been designated as the trial centre for the category.
The university has designated separate nodal colleges for different ECA categories.
Bharati College will host dance trials, Ramjas College debate, Miranda House theatre, Mata Sundri College for Women for vocal music, Sri Aurobindo College (Day) instrumental music, Hansraj College creative writing, and Maharaja Agrasen College digital media.
Similarly, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College will host trials for fine arts, Rajdhani College divinity, Zakir Hussain Delhi College (Evening) quiz and PGDAV (Evening) College yoga.
Theatre trials at Miranda House and Indian Classical and Light vocal music trials at Mata Sundri College for Women will continue till July 25 and July 22, respectively, with candidates assigned reporting slots according to their registration numbers.
Fine arts trials, including sketching, painting and sculpture, will be conducted at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College from July 20 to 24, while digital media trials covering photography, filmmaking and animation will be held at Maharaja Agrasen College from July 21 to 23.
The university said no physical trials will be conducted for the NCC and NSS categories.
In a note accompanying the schedule, the university said outstation candidates may request rescheduling of their trials to any day within the notified date range for the respective ECA category by writing to the admission branch.
However, no requests will be entertained after the trials for a category conclude. It also clarified that requests for changing the trial date will not be accepted for the Creative Writing and Quiz categories, as these are being held on a single day.
Delhi University offers admissions under the ECA supernumerary quota across 14 categories, including theatre, dance, debate, music, fine arts, creative writing, quiz, yoga, NCC and NSS.
