Delhi Zoo celebrates forests with film, art, and trees

New Delhi: The National Zoological Park (Delhi Zoo) on Thursday celebrating the International Day of Forests. The theme for this year’s International Forest Day is ‘Forests and innovation: new solutions for a better world’. The celebration was aimed at creating awareness among visitors about the importance of plants in their lives.

A doodle art activity was organised by the Education Centre of the National Zoological Park, where visitors were encouraged to participate in the activity.

Following this, a film showcasing Mission-LiFE was shown to the visitors. This was followed by a plantation drive in the vicinity of the recently rejuvenated water body of the park, where staff members of the National Zoological Park planted trees.

The purpose of the event was to safeguard these precious natural resources by the use of innovative techniques.
