New Delhi, Jul 1 (PTI) Delhi Police on Wednesday organised a two-day Training of Trainers programme for teachers as part of the Child Safety Month initiative.

The programme, being held at the Aadarsh Auditorium at Police Headquarters, is being conducted in hybrid mode, and is aimed at strengthening child protection mechanisms in schools across the national capital, police said.

The initiative is being carried out jointly by the Delhi Police, the Directorate of Education and the State Council of Educational Research and Training, in line with Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena’s vision of building a safer Delhi.

The training is being conducted in four batches, with each batch attending a half-day session focused on child safety awareness and institutional preparedness.

Key topics include NCPCR guidelines, school safety protocols, cyber safety, and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Police said the initiative aims to promote child-friendly practices and strengthen safety systems in schools. PTI SSJ SSJ RUK RUK
