New Delhi, Sep 14 (PTI) The Delhi Police has busted a drug trafficking network with the arrest of eight people, including two women, and recovered over Rs 3.71 crore in cash and 1.383 kg of smack, an official said on Monday.
The case came to light after two alleged drug peddlers, identified as Abdullah and Karan, were arrested in April this year, police said.
During interrogation, the duo disclosed the name of Kiran, who allegedly supplied them drugs. She was subsequently arrested and was found to be living in a posh housing society in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, they said.
Further investigation led to the arrest of at least five more people, including a man and his brother-in-law, police said.
Police have recovered Rs 3.71 crore in cash, 1.383 kg of smack and an SUV from the accused. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around Rs 1.5 crore, officials said.
