New Delhi, Aug 23 (PTI) A man was arrested and later released on bail for allegedly defacing a wall of the Parliament Street police station with graffiti during a protest linked to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, police sources said on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Karan, a resident of Jharkhand, allegedly wrote graffiti on the wall of the police station during the demonstration, said the sources.
A case was registered under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, the source said.
According to police, the accused was identified with the help of CCTV footage and subsequently arrested. However, as the offences invoked in the case are bailable, Karan was granted bail after his arrest, he said.
