New Delhi, Jun 2 (PTI) Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Tuesday approved the nomination of Delhi Jal Board vice-chairman and two other board members, a statement said.
Former Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay was nominated as the vice-chairman, while MLAs Manoj Kumar Shokeen and Ajay Kumar Mahawar, and Rajesh Kumar Goel from Delhi Cantonment Board, were nominated as members of the Delhi Jal Board.
“The L-G has approved the proposal to this effect submitted by the Urban Development Department, GNCTD (Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi) as per the Delhi Water Board Act, 1998,” the statement read.
These nominations have been made for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective office, it added.
Last month, the Delhi Assembly had nominated three of its members for the posts that had been lying vacant in the DJB since February 2025. PTI SSM RUK RUK
