New Delhi, Aug 31 (PTI) The Delhi government on Monday signed an MoU with two private companies, for development of space under Deepali Chowk flyover in north west Delhi, officials said.

The agreement paper was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

“Delhi government has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dixon Technologies Limited and Kanodia Group, advancing its resolve for a clean, green, and beautiful city,” Delhi CMO said in a post on X.

Under the partnership, beautification and development of the area under the Deepali Chowk flyover will be taken up under corporate social initiative.

Additionally, murals on pillars depicting Indian culture, modern art, and environment-themed artwork, restoration of the green belt along Mathura Road and MP Marg, and installation of drip irrigation and fencing with pollution-resistant plants will be part of the initiative.

These initiatives, carried out through corporate social responsibility (CSR), will help make Delhi’s public spaces cleaner, greener, more organized and more citizen-friendly.

PWD minister Parvesh Verma, who was alsoi present at the MoU signing, said the government requires public partnerships for better results, and added there are many NGOs and companies that want to help in beautification of Delhi.

Under the MoU, the two companies will have two stretches each for beautification under the CSR initiative, he said. PTI VIT VIT MDO MDO

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
