New Delhi, Jun 2 (PTI) Delhi government is expected to table an ease of doing business bill in the upcoming monsoon session of the assembly for time-bound and hassle-free clearance of projects in various fields, officials said on Tuesday.
Preparation is underway to get the Bill ready in the next few weeks so that it could be tabled in the monsoon session, which is likely to be held in July, they said.
Last week, Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa had also said that the government will come up with an ease of doing business bill soon.
Chairing a meeting of the Industries Department through video conferencing, Sirsa had said that the bill was aimed at ensuring a centralised approval system for all “big projects” in Delhi.
“It will also be ensured that all the permissions and requisite processes of different departments are completed in a time-bound manner to extend a better and easy system for the industries,” he said in the post.
The proposed bill will include a provision to form an ease of doing business council headed by the chief minister for faster clearances of projects, the officials added. PTI VIT RUK RUK
