Delhi consumers using less than 200 units of power need not pay electricity bills: Kejriwal

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also said that Delhi govt will continue to give 50% subsidy to those consuming between 200-401 units of electricity.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced that consumers consuming up to 200 units of electricity won’t need to pay their power bills.

Making the announcement, Kejriwal said the Delhi government will give full subsidy to those consuming up to 200 units of electricity.

Those consuming 201 to 401 units of electricity will continue to get 50 per cent power subsidy from the government, he added.

  1. This is completely financial Hara Kiri by a populist government desperate to cling on to power. People of Delhi should reject this with the contempt it deserves.
