Stay updated with ThePrint:

Medininagar (Jharkhand), Nov 4 (PTI) Senior BJP leader Arjun Munda on Wednesday accused the Congress of undermining democracy by engaging in a politics that seeks to create distrust towards constitutional institutions for political self-interest.

The former Union minister claimed that the BJP is committed to strengthening democracy, upholding the dignity of constitutional institutions, and safeguarding the people’s trust.

“The Congress is deviating from issues of public interest and engaging in politics that seeks to create distrust towards constitutional institutions for political self-interest, spread confusion, and promote anarchy in the name of opposition,” Munda said while taking part in a ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march in Jharkhand’s Palamu district.

The march was taken out from Shivaji Ground and it culminated at the District Collectorate.

Later speaking to reporters, Munda said, “Democracy is in danger today because of the Congress. Being power-hungry, it is attempting to create chaos in the country to paralyse the political system. However, every single leader, worker, and supporter of the BJP is firmly resolved to protect it.”

He claimed that the Congress’s existence depends on regional parties.

“It seeks to attain power in Delhi by riding on the shoulders of regional parties. For this purpose, Congress is using them as tools,” he alleged. PTI COR SAN SAN ACD
