Amravati, Sep 28 (PTI) Former Maharashtra minister and Congress leader Yashomati Thakur on Monday alleged a drone was spotted hovering over her residence in Amravati city and taking pictures.
Talking to reporters here, Thakur said she has filed a police complaint in this regard and alleged potential threat to her life.
The former minister said she was at a protest called by the Congress in the afternoon, and when she came home, her family members told her a drone had been circling over her house in the eastern Maharashtra city and taking pictures.
Thakur questioned how an unauthorized drone flew over her home and apprehended potential surveillance or sabotage attempts.
“All this is very suspicious. I am a Congress party worker and also a CWC member. I feel there could be a threat to my live and that is why I have informed the police (about the drone incident),” she stated.
Thakur said she spoke with the Amravati police commissioner as well and filed a complaint at the Gadge Nagar police station in Amravati city.
