Bhopal, May 1 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday told Congress leader Digvijaya Singh during a meeting that his government is committed to procuring wheat from farmers and making all arrangements to ensure cultivators don’t face any inconvenience in selling their produce.
Singh, a former CM, met Yadav at Samatva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal, and discussed the ongoing wheat procurement in the BJP-ruled state.
Yadav informed Singh that so far, slots for the procurement of more than 80 lakh metric tons of wheat have been booked, and the number is continuously increasing.
The state government is committed to procuring wheat from farmers, and all possible arrangements have been made for the convenience of cultivators, the CM insisted.
