Jaipur, May 23 (PTI) Rajasthan reeled under intense heatwave conditions, with Chittorgarh being the hottest place in the state in the last 24 hours at 44.2 degrees Celsius, the meteorological department said on Saturday.
It said some respite from the heat is expected during the day as parts of the state could witness strong dust-laden winds with speeds reaching 20-30 kmph.
According to the weather department, the situation is likely to worsen from Sunday as the weather across most parts of the state is likely to remain dry over the next week.
The temperatures are likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees from Sunday, with heatwave conditions predicted in several regions and severe heatwave conditions likely at isolated places, according to the weather office.
