Jhansi (UP), Aug 20 (PTI) Three people, including a four-year-old child, were killed and another seriously injured when a truck rammed their motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi, police said on Thursday.
The accident took place late Wednesday night near BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited) township in Babina area when the four were returning to their village after visiting a patient admitted to a hospital, Circle Officer (Sadar) Priya Singh said.
Anand Rajak (around 50), his wife Urmila (45), their four-year-old grandson Sanskar and Ravindra Kumar (22) were travelling on the same motorcycle, she said.
Ravindra, who was known to the family and lived in the same village as them, was riding the motorcycle, the officer said.
Urmila and Sanskar died on the spot, while Ravindra succumbed to his injuries during treatment later in the night, she said.
Rajak was seriously injured in the accident and is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, the officer said. PTI COR KIS MNK MNK
