Hyderabad, Oct 25 (PTI) BRS Working President K T Rama Rao on Sunday alleged that Telangana has become an “ATM for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi” under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s rule.

Speaking at a BRS event here, he also said Rahul Gandhi travelled across the country speaking about ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ but “lacked the courage to set foot” in Telangana.

He alleged that questions were being raised over the business activities of CM Revanth Reddy’s brothers and other issues.

The BRS leader accused Rahul Gandhi of “turning a blind eye” to the alleged corruption, loot and scams in Telangana.

“Before the 2023 elections, Rahul Gandhi made 420 promises to the people of Telangana. Congress promised to implement its six poll guarantees within 100 days, fulfil 13 declarations and deliver on all 420 promises. More than 1,000 days have passed. What happened to Rahul Gandhi’s 420 promises?” Rama Rao asked.

“While the BJP-led government in Delhi was dividing people, the Congress government in Telangana is looting the state,” he said.

Dismissing the BRS leader’s oft-repeated allegations against the CM, Congress leader Aadi Srinivas had said that Rama Rao should substantiate his charges with proof. PTI SJR ROH

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
