New Delhi, Sep 7 (PTI) An inter-state coordination meeting was held on Monday to review security, law and order, and traffic preparedness in connection with the upcoming BRICS Summit-2026, an official said.
The meeting was chaired by Joint Commissioner of Police, Eastern Range, Milind Mahadeo Dumbere, and attended by senior police officers.
Officers discussed measures to ensure seamless coordination between neighbouring districts during the summit, with focus on intelligence sharing, border vigilance, traffic management and emergency response.
The meeting also reviewed 24×7 joint checking and intensified surveillance at inter-state border points with Ghaziabad and Noida, police said.
Tenant and servant verification and security checks at hotels, guest houses, paying guest accommodations, cyber cafes and other sensitive locations were also discussed.
Police also planned enhanced surveillance against drones, paragliders and other remote-controlled flying objects, according to the official.
Coordination between Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad traffic police regarding restrictions, diversions, border checking and movement of vehicles was reviewed, the official added. PTI BM PRK
