Basti (UP), Jul 22 (PTI) The bodies of three minors were found from a 12-foot-deep water-filled pit outside their village in Uttar Pradesh’s Basti district on Tuesday, police said.

The children, residents of Lohrauli village, had gone missing on Monday evening, they said.

Eight-year-old Virat Vishwakarma, 10-year-old Aditya Vishwakarma, and seven-year-old Ayush Vishwakarma had left home at around 6 pm on bicycles, but did not return, officials said.

A missing person report was filed, and search efforts were underway when the villagers informed them of the bodies floating in the water-filled pit.
