BJP to hold Seva Jyoti Yatras across Himachal on Oct 7: Bindal

Shimla, Oct 5 (PTI) Under its ongoing month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the BJP will organise ‘Seva Jyoti Yatras’ across Himachal Pradesh on October 7, state party chief Rajeev Bindal said.

Through the yatras, party workers will reach out to society with the message of service, dedication and public participation, he said.

In a statement released here, Bindal said Leader of Opposition and former chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, along with MP Kangana Ranaut, will be present at the programme at Dhalpur in Kullu, while he will attend a programme in Nahan, Sirmour.

“Similarly, state general secretary Sanjeev Katwal will attend the programme at Gagret in Una, while MLA Jeet Ram Katwal will participate in the event at Gandhi Chowk in Hamirpur,” he said.

Former Cabinet minister Suresh Bhardwaj will participate in the yatra in Shimla; MLA and state spokesperson D S Thakur in Chamba, former minister Rajiv Saizal in Solan and state vice-president and MLA Pawan Kajal in Nurpur, according to the statement.

Bindal said that MLA Sudhir Sharma would attend the programme in Dharamsala, Kangra; state vice-president and MLA Vipin Parmar in Sulah, Palampur; district in-charge and MLA Bikram Thakur in Dehra; and MLA and media in-charge Randhir Sharma in Ghumarwin, Bilaspur.

BJP MLAs and office-bearers will also hold events in Lahaul and Spiti, Mandi, Theog, Sundernagar and Kinnaur.

Bindal called upon all party office-bearers and workers to ensure active participation in the yatra and other programmes in their respective areas.
