Dehradun, Oct 25 (PTI) The BJP is set to launch its ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao (Save Democracy, End Anarchy)’ campaign in Uttarakhand in the run-up to the assembly elections slated for early next year.

To ensure effective rollout of the campaign, the BJP on Sunday announced various committees headed by key leaders.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had, on Thursday, announced the BJP’s poll plan, as part of which the party will hold its ‘Loktrantra Bachao’ yatra through November, covering all 70 assembly constituencies.

As part of the campaign, a foot march will be taken out in Srinagar on October 31, Dhami had said.

According to an official list released by the party, the campaign will encompass seven key aspects: a state-level steering committee, press conferences, ‘padyatras’ (foot marches), ‘rashtriya chintan samvad’ (discussion on nationalist discourses) at assembly level, ‘yuva samvad’ (youth dialogues), outreach programmes and publication of a magazine. Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
