Lucknow, Jul 2 (PTI) BJP president Nitin Nabin will be on a two-day organisational visit to Uttar Pradesh on July 4-5 to review the party’s preparations for the upcoming assembly elections and hold a series of meetings with state office-bearers.

According to a BJP statement issued on Thursday, Nabin will also address a conference of Shakti Kendra convenors from the Awadh region.

He will review the organisation’s action plan and forthcoming programmes in separate meetings with office-bearers, also interact with party MPs and MLAs.

Ahead of the visit, Uttar Pradesh BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, along with the party’s state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh, held separate meetings at the party’s state headquarters to finalise arrangements.

Chaudhary described the visit as an important organisational exercise and said guidance from the national president would help strengthen the party’s functioning and provide fresh momentum to its upcoming programmes and election preparations.

The Union minister said Nabin would interact with party functionaries and public representatives on issues including organisational strengthening, expansion of service activities, booth empowerment and public outreach campaigns.

Chaudhary added that preparations for the visit were nearly complete and party workers were enthusiastic about welcoming the national president.

Dharampal Singh said the schedule for all meetings had been finalised and that each programme would be conducted in a disciplined and time-bound manner. He said Nabin would provide guidance on organisational expansion, booth strengthening, activation of Shakti Kendras, service initiatives, outreach and coordination.

The preparatory meetings at the BJP state headquarters were attended by several state office-bearers, regional leaders, MLAs and other party functionaries, the statement said. PTI CDN KVK KVK
