Bengal govt reconstitutes regulatory panel for clinical establishments

Kolkata, Aug 5 (PTI) The West Bengal government on Wednesday reconstituted a regulatory commission for clinical establishments, appointing retired Justice Biswajit Bose as its chairperson, according to a health department notification.

Senior IAS officer Moumita Godara Basu has been appointed vice chairperson of the West Bengal Clinical Establishments Regulatory Commission, it added.

The notification said the panel has been reconstituted under Section 36 of the West Bengal Clinical Establishments (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Act, 2017.

The 13-member commission shall exercise the powers and perform the functions conferred on it under the Act, the notification said. PTI SCH BDC
