New Delhi, May 18 (PTI) An autorickshaw overturned near Dhaula Kuan in southwest Delhi after a car rammed into it from behind, injuring the driver, police said on Monday. There was a minor traffic disruption in the area due to the accident.
According to police, a PCR call regarding the accident was received at Delhi Police’s Delhi Cantonment police station following which police rushed to the spot. They found an electric auto and a car at the accident site.
During preliminary inquiry, the electric auto driver, identified as Furman Ali, told police that he applied brakes and the car coming from behind crashed into it, causing the three-wheeler to overturn on the road.
The driver and owner of the car was present at the spot when police arrived. Ali sustained minor injuries in the accident and was shifted to a hospital for treatment. The car driver also underwent medical examination, police said.
Both damaged vehicles were later removed from the road to clear traffic obstruction and restore normal vehicular movement in the area. PTI BM BM SKY SKY SKY
