Amaravati, Jul 28 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh government’s AI-driven governance model called RTGS was explained on Tuesday to a delegation of officials from Rajasthan’s Information Technology Department.
The delegation, led by RajCOMP Info Services Limited General Manager Lakshmikant Katara and consisting of Brahmagupta Centre of Frontier Technologies Nodal Officer Ramesh Dawand and Deputy Director Nitish Kumar Jangid, along with other officials, visited the Command and Control Centre here to study the state’s technology initiatives, RTGS Chief Executive Officer Prakhar Jain said in an official press release.
“The visiting delegation was briefed on Andhra Pradesh’s AI-driven governance initiatives and the functioning of the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) platform, which supports data-driven administration and public service delivery,” the release added.
Jain gave a presentation on the functioning of the platform and outlined the state’s data-driven governance model, highlighting the development of one of the country’s largest Data Lakes integrating information from more than 40 government departments onto a single platform.
Jain also briefed the delegation on RTGS CCTV360, which provides technological support to the police for strengthening law and order through intelligent surveillance and analytics.
Speaking about the Advanced Weather and Environmental Response (AWARE) division, Jain said the platform continuously monitors weather conditions and natural hazards, providing early warnings to government agencies and citizens to minimise the loss of life and property during natural disasters.
He said AWARE also provides agro-advisory services to farmers and monitors real-time reservoir storage, rainfall patterns and water availability across the state to support informed water resource management decisions.
The Rajasthan delegation appreciated the RTGS ecosystem, describing it as a governance model that could serve as a benchmark for other states, the release added. PTI MS ADB
