Amaravati, Sep 17 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 76.

The governor in a post on ‘X’, said: “I convey my heartiest felicitations and warm greetings to you on your birthday on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh and on my own behalf.” He said that under PM Modi’s transformative governance and landmark economic reforms, India was now positioned as the fastest-growing major global economy.

The governor prayed to the Almighty to shower His choicest blessings on Modi for a happy, healthy and long life and to enable him to steer the country towards new heights of growth and prosperity under his visionary leadership.

Prime Minister Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in the small town of Vadnagar in Gujarat.

CM Naidu greeted PM Modi and hailed his 25 years of public service.

The chief minister said Modi’s leadership had been “truly historic”, noting his journey from serving as Gujarat chief minister to leading the country as prime minister.

“Warmest birthday greetings to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. As India’s longest-serving democratically elected Prime Minister, your leadership has been truly historic. As you mark 25 exemplary years of public service, your journey from leading Gujarat as Chief Minister to guiding the nation as Prime Minister has given new momentum to India’s growth story,” Naidu said in a post on ‘X’.

He said PM Modi’s vision of “Seva, Sankalp and Sushasan” continued to inspire people across the country.

Naidu also prayed to Lord Venkateswara for the prime minister’s long, healthy and prosperous life in the service of the nation.

Likewise, Jagan extended birthday greetings to the prime minister and prayed for his good health, long life and strength to serve the nation.

“Wishing PM Narendra Modi a very happy birthday. May God bless him with good health, long life and the strength to serve the nation,” Jagan said in a post on ‘X’. PTI MS KH

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
