Amaravati, Aug 15 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday marked the 80th Independence Day by hoisting the national flag here.
Following the flag hoisting, the Chief Minister reviewed the parade as part of Independence Day celebrations.
“Heartfelt greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu people worldwide on the 80th Independence Day celebrations. Our freedom is the result of the sacrifices and struggles of countless great souls,” said the CM in a post on X.
The true tribute to their sacrifices is to build a greater future for the nation, he said, adding, “For that, with the resolve of ‘That I am…’, everyone should reflect not on what the country has done for me, but on what I can do for the country.” Naidu noted that the national flag should be in people’s hands and a strong vision for the nation in their hearts. Every individual must contribute to the goal of achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047 and realising the dream of Swarna Andhra (golden Andhra), he said.
By the time the country celebrates the 100th Independence day, India and Andhra should move forward from freedom to prosperity and development to glory, said the CM.
“Let us unite and take steps together to fulfil this resolve. Jai Telugu Talli! Jai Hind!” he added. PTI STH ROH
