The BJP’s lighting of “Lamp of Blessings,” across the country is part of the many initiatives aimed at celebrating PM Modi’s birthday and 25 years in public life.

In Vijayawada, Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav participated in a programme along with Vijayawada West MLA Sujana Chowdary.

“On the completion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year public service journey, I pray to Goddess Kanaka Durga to bless him with good health, longevity, strength and capabilities. Ramanaidu said Polavaram works were progressing rapidly with Central and state government coordination, adding that the government aims to complete the project and dedicate it to the nation by 2027.

He said the country should continue progressing towards the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India) by 2047, in line with PM Modi’s vision.

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
