New Delhi: All Andhra Pradesh ministers resigned on Thursday in cue with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s attempt to rejig his Cabinet before the 2024 elections.
The new Cabinet would likely be represented by all 26 districts of the state – 13 of them announced earlier this week.
After a Cabinet meeting Thursday afternoon, the ministers handed their resignation to the chief minister who had said he would pick an entirely new team by December 2021. Covid delayed that move by four months.
Jagan Reddy met Governor Biswabhusan Harichandran Wednesday and informed him of his plans to overhaul the Cabinet.
Jagan will hand the Governor a fresh list of ministers in a day or two.
