Air Force institute’s Commandant assumes charge

Bengaluru, May 15 (PTI) Air Vice Marshal Sarabjit Singh, VSM has assumed charge as Commandant of Software Development Institute, Air Force, Bengaluru.

He took over command of the prestigious institution from Air Vice Marshal Raman Guruhari, VSM, who retired from the Indian Air Force on 30 April 2026, after a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Defence Wing of the Press Information Bureau said, in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, Singh was commissioned in the Aeronautical Engineering branch of the Indian Air Force in October 1992.

A Post Graduate in Computer Science, Defence Studies and Management, he is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad, it added. PTI AMP ADB
