Lucknow, Sep 1 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed officials to turn the upcoming ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ into a mass-participation campaign and ensure that the government’s achievements reach people at the gram panchayat and nyaya panchayat levels.

According to an official statement, the month-long campaign will start on the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It will be held across Uttar Pradesh from September 17 to October 17 to highlight the welfare achievements of Modi’s 25 years of public service and connect citizens with the collective national resolve of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.

During a high-level discussion on the campaign’s action plan, Adityanath said Modi’s 25 years in public life represented a continuous journey of “service, good governance and welfare of the poor”.

He said the policy reforms, welfare initiatives and historic changes made during this period should be effectively presented before the people.

The chief minister said the positive changes in people’s lives resulting from the development works undertaken by the Centre in the past 12 years and the state government in the past 10 years should be brought out through the campaign.

The campaign will feature 13 major programmes, including ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’, ’25 Crore Bachchon Ke Sapnon Ka Bharat’, ‘Namo Seva Gatha’, ‘Angan Ka Utsav’, ‘Kahani Badlav Ki’, ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’, ‘Vadnagar-Sevaranasi Yatra’, ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’, ‘Rangoli Rashtra Evam Ghar-Ghar Se Rashtra Tak’, ‘National Innovation Challenge’ and ‘Janseva Mahakumbh’.

Laser shows at prominent monuments, special rituals at major pilgrimage sites, village meetings and direct public interactions will also be organised.

Adityanath said the campaign should not remain confined to district headquarters and development blocks and special efforts must be made to take it to nyaya panchayat and gram panchayat levels.

People should be informed locally about how government schemes and development projects have changed the lives of their villages, areas and families, he said.

He also directed that representatives, youths, women, beneficiaries, social organisations and ordinary citizens be actively involved to give the campaign a genuine mass-participation character. PTI KIS PRK PRK

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
