Giridih, Jul 10 (PTI) Four cyber criminals were arrested from a forest area in Jharkhand’s Giridih district on Friday, a police officer said.
SP Bimal Kumar said acting on a tip-off, a team conducted a raid at the site.
“During interrogation, the accused admitted to committing cyber fraud by sending fake APK files to mobile phones,” the officer said.
The arrested accused are residents of the Taratanr police station area.
The raid resulted in the seizure of 10 mobile phones, 13 SIM cards, a laptop and four motorcycles, the officer said.
Two of the accused were earlier jailed in connection with cyber fraud cases, he said, adding, further investigation is underway. PTI CORR ANB RBT
