Noida, Aug 31 (PTI) Four people were killed after a truck allegedly lost control, breached the railing and collided with a Delhi-registered car on the Yamuna Expressway in Noida’s Jewar area, police said on Monday.
According to Jewar police, the truck, bearing registration number RJ05GB5526, was travelling from Noida towards Agra when the accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Jewar police station on Sunday night.
The truck crashed through the railing and collided with the car, bearing registration number DL9CBB0553, police said.
“The four occupants of the car were injured and immediately rushed to the hospital. However, doctors declared all of them dead during treatment,” police said.
The truck driver has been taken into custody and further legal proceedings are underway, police said. PTI COR KIS RHL
