3 killed, 2 injured as car rams into tree in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar

Jaipur, May 23 (PTI) Three men were killed and two others seriously injured after a car part of a wedding procession rammed into a tree in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar on Saturday, police said.

The accident occurred near Khichiya village in Raisinghnagar when a speeding car carrying members of a wedding procession lost control and crashed into a tree. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely mangled, killing three occupants on the spot.

The police identified the deceased as Prithvi Raj (24), Mohan Lal (24) and Babu Lal (25). They were residents of village 2 KLM and had come as part of a wedding party from the Rawla area to Khichiya village.

Two other occupants of the car sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities said a case has been registered and further investigation into the incident is underway. PTI AG APL APL
