Dhanbad, Apr 24 (PTI) Two persons were injured after three houses collapsed due to land subsidence in Jharkhand’s coal-rich Dhanbad district, police said on Friday.
The incident happened in Tandabadi Basti in the Sonardih police station area around 8.30 pm on Thursday, they said.
Dhanbad (Rural) SP S Mohammad Yakub said the injured were undergoing treatment at a hospital.
“A rescue operation has been started, and the affected people are being relocated from the area with the assistance of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). The exact reason behind the land subsidence will be ascertained after investigation,” he said.
