2 drown after falling into well in Jharkhand’s Giridih

Ranchi, Apr 18 (PTI) A 19-year-old woman and a girl drowned after they fell into a well in Jharkhand’s Giridih district, police said on Saturday.

The incident occurred in Lalokoni village under the Sariya police station limits on Friday.

One of the deceased has been identified as Nagama Khatoon (19). The other deceased is a 15-year-old girl, police said.

“The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination to Sadar Hospital, Giridih. We are investigating how they fell into the well,” said Pinku Singh, the officer in-charge of Sariya police station. PTI RPS RBT
