Modi cabinet’s first day in office: Ministers meet up at PMO to make key decisions

Decisions included Pradhan Mantri-Kisan Yojana and pension schemes for traders, among others.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired his first union cabinet meet of his second term on Friday. Just hours earlier, the portfolios for each minister in his new council was announced. The cabinet took several important decisions, including extending the Pradhan Mantri-Kisan Yojana to all farmers and approving a pension scheme for traders.
