New Delhi: A picture of a big pothole on a flyover claimed to be in Delhi is going viral on social media. The posts are claiming that the flyover was built by the Arvind Kejriwal government.
One such tweet posted Monday received over 200 retweets.

“The Delhi bridge that was supposed to have been constructed for Rs 450 crore got constructed for Rs 250 crore. Seems like the money was wasted. Politics of Naxals and work of the corrupt?” read the tweet.

A Facebook status was also posted Monday with the same caption by a user named Ranjiit Kumar.
The photo was widely posted on Twitter with the same caption from dozens of unverified accounts.
However, the said image is actually from Lucknow and is over two years old.
According to an Amar Ujala report, a part of the Lohia Bridge fell off on 5 July, 2016, due to illegal tampering. Nobody was injured in the Lucknow incident.
This isn’t the first time, though, that the same photo has gone viral with Kejriwal’s Rs 250-crore-flyover tag attached to it. Even in 2016, when the pothole actually appeared in Lucknow, people shamed the Kejriwal government. At the time, a Facebook user called Ramniwas Atri posted the same picture with a similar caption and received over 13,000 shares.
In 2015, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said the six-lane flyover in Delhi was built at a cost of Rs 143 crore, Rs 104 crore below the sanctioned Rs 247-crore budget.
