New Delhi: Rakhi Sawant has left for Pakistan to meet her “sister” Hania Aamir. What’s more, is going to receive her at the airport. Pakistanis are loving the duo and can’t get enough of this budding friendship.
“Hania Aamir and Rakhi Sawant are the actual Gen Z besties. Someone bring these 2 in a single frame,” a person wrote on X.
Even leading Pakistani newspapers are curious. “Are Hania Aamir and Rakhi Sawant the new besties in town,” Dawn asked.
Rakhi Sawant on Wednesday shared a video from the airport, calling on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lift the ban on TikTok. She threatened to move to Pakistan, marry a Pakistani man, and eat halwa puri.
She then walked through the airport with her trolley bag, saying she was on her way to Pakistan to meet “Hania Aamir, Nargis, and Deedar”.
Rakhi then jokingly asked, “Hania, do you have space in your house? Your sister from India is coming to meet you. Come pick me up from the airport, I don’t have too much baggage,” before ending with “Hania, I love you”.
Hania was quick to reply with an Instagram story: “I just wanted to say, life was quite sad before Rakhi ji came into my life. Rakhi ji, I’m coming to pick you up from the airport!”
Pakistanis are now rooting for the two actors.
“The dosti that we all need but don’t deserve,” Instagram user Durriya wrote. Another user, Huda, even welcomed Rakhi ji to Pakistan and hoped that she will enjoy the weather and the community.
Meanwhile, Dawn, in its article, asked: “This entire interaction has left us shook. Will Sawant ever actually come to Pakistan? Does Aamir have the space to house her? Do we dare imagine Rakhi and Hania living together, two bestie roommates? Can one apartment handle so much star power?”

From dance challenges to housemates
This is not their first interaction. Rakhi and Hania’s bond goes beyond airport pick-ups and TikTok banter.
In an interview with Pakistani journalist Murtaza Ali Shah, Rakhi Sawant had earlier challenged Hania Aamir, Nargis, and Deedar to a dance-off, insisting she was better than all three put together.
“We’ll dance to Pakistani music. I will beat them to it. I’ll demolish, and I will make them sweat,” Rakhi had declared.
Hania accepted the challenge with her own twist: Mimicking Rakhi’s signature expressions and gestures, she made a reel on the interview, captioning it, “Rakhi jee an icon.”
