New Delhi: Pakistani actor Feroze Khan is at the centre of yet another controversy. A number of famous Pakistani actors are serving notices against him for leaking their personal information on social media. This included their addresses, phone number and other private details.
The celebrities include those who have supported Khan’s ex–wife Aliza Sultan, who has accused the actor of domestic abuse.
The since-deleted post, which Dawn newspaper said could be the defamation suit document filed by Khan, contained contact details of well-known actors and celebrities Sarwat Gilani, Muneeb Butt, Mira Sethi, Minal Khan, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Yasir Hussain and Farhan Saeed among others.
Model and actor Sarwat Gilani shared screenshots on Instagram of the “hundreds” of missed calls she had received since Khan’s Twitter post.
“It is bizarre and despicable that private information, including phone numbers, of various famous individuals, have been publicly shared on the absurd pretext by @ferozekhan,” she wrote in the post.
Commenting on the barrage of notices Khan is facing and more that are on their way, “Two days ago @ferozekhan had one ex wife and her lawyer now he will have to face 10 celebrities and their lawyers who stand against him. Good luck!” she added.
Actors Minal Khan and Aiman Muneeb echoed Gilani’s sentiments on Instagram. Both posted the same messages about receiving “hundreds of calls and messages”.
“I have been mentally harassed, tortured & threatened by multiple numbers. Me and my family’s life has been put in danger. I will be taking very strict legal action against Feroze Khan,” Minal Khan and Aidan Muneeb wrote.
Actors Farhan Saeed and Muneeb Butt, who were sued by Khan, have confirmed to have filed a countersuit against him.
According to Dawn, an instant reply on his defamation suit has been sent to Khan demanding that he withdraw the notice against Saeed and “tender an unequivocal apology” in the same manner, on all platforms on which “defamatory material” against [Farhan] Saeed was published. Muneeb Butt shared screenshots of his complaint filed with the Cyber Cell.

Pakistani social media users are having a field day discussing and dissecting the drama, which seems to have a new episode every other day.
“Farhaan Saeed’s notice literally has a sentence ‘the personal affairs of your client are absolutely not worthy of our client’s professional time. I love this,” said one Twitter user.

Many users have also sided with Feroze Khan, saying the other actors had been torturing and harassing him through baseless comments on his personal life.
“I think the same mental stress you all are causing to him by poking your noses in his personal family affairs…,” posted an Instagram user @nidasheikh1 in a reply to Aiman Muneeb’s post.
Actor Farhan Mirza said Khan was “really deranged, vengeful and stupid for including the personal numbers of all these actors and then making it public. After this knee-jerk response, he has proven he is a moron of the highest order.”
