Team CID is coming back on YouTube—with new shows, short films, behind-the-scenes clips

This is not the first time the C.I.D cast has collaborated on YouTube. In 2024, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava uploaded travel and food vlogs in a series titled ‘Safarkhana’.

New Delhi: Daya from C.I.D. is ready to break the YouTube algorithm with his new channel. In a video uploaded on Dayanand Shetty’s YouTube channel, the star shared that the C.I.D. team is coming back together to create films, short videos, web series, and share unseen footage from shoots.

The team includes actors Aditya Srivastava (who played Abhijeet on the show), Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Ajay Nagrath (Pankaj), and Ansha Sayed (Purvi).

In an Instagram video posted by Shetty Wednesday, the actors appear to be on a video call, greeting each other after a long time and discussing new ideas. They inquire after each other and say they can’t leave behind their 25-year-long relationship with fans. The video ends with them arriving at a YouTube channel under the banner of Dayanand Shetty Productions.

In his video on YouTube, Shetty addressed fans, saying that he and his team have worked in the entertainment industry for decades and are now ready to appear in a new avatar, bringing the same energy and passion.

“Now it’s time to join you people on a new platform (YouTube),” he said in Hindi.

Daya’s other YouTube project

This is not the first time the C.I.D cast has launched a YouTube channel. In 2024, Shetty and Srivastava starred in a channel called Infinity Production, where they uploaded travel and food vlogs under a series titled Safarkhana. The channel also offered behind-the-scenes stories from the days when they used to shoot for the popular show, as well as other series.

C.I.D. started in 1998 and ran with much of the same core cast for years. The show recently returned with new episodes streaming on Netflix.

Shetty regularly posts on social media, and his fans look forward to his updates. His recent video about his beloved Toyota Fortuner, which he has owned for 17 years, went viral on Instagram.
