New Delhi: Mary Kom is bringing boxing’s discipline to Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 20. During the introductory episode, she said being a mother has become a major part of her personality, and as a sportsperson, “the spirit of winning” is another part of it.

“Inside the house, the audience will get to see various shades of my personality,” she said.

Talking about entering the Bigg Boss house, the former Rajya Sabha member said that people mostly know her as a sportsperson and may have certain assumptions about her personality.

“I will do whatever I can in the show, and it would be great if I get a second chance. People know me as a sportsperson, so they might have some wrong assumptions about me, so this will bring out the reality,” she said in an interview with the Indian Express

Kom also plans to bring with her the discipline that has been part of her life as a boxer. For her, discipline inside the Bigg Boss house also means everyone taking responsibility for the daily work.

“I will bring discipline in the house; everyone should wake up at one time. Whatever we do inside shall remain within the family only. You cannot do anything alone; everyone has to come together,” the boxer said.

She further added that household responsibilities should not fall on one person.

“So one person should not be expected to just do cooking, cleaning, etc. I will make sure everyone participates in the household activities in a disciplined manner,” she said.

Joining Mary Kom in the house are television actors Mahhi Vij and Kanika Mann, Bhojpuri star Amrapali Dubey and Panchayat actor Aasif Khan.

The show also has a strong digital presence with influencers like Arishfa Khan, popular gamer and influencer ScoutOP aka Tanmay Singh, and rapper Yung Dsa.

Adding a musical touch to the lineup are Fame Gurukul 2005 winner Qazi Touqeer and singer Riti Tiwari. Actor Aman Gandhi and reality TV veteran Kushal “Gullu” Tanwar are also part of the season. The lineup also includes model Rohed Khan, Punjabi entertainment personality Love Gill, Rhiya Ahir, as well as actors Isha Rikhi and Uditi Singh.

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
