New Delhi: Rapper Eminem is auctioning more than 100 pairs of signed sneakers from his personal collection, with all proceeds going to his Marshall Mathers Foundation, which was founded in 2002. The organisation focuses on helping at-risk and homeless youth in Detroit, Michigan, and its surrounding communities.

The auction, being conducted by Julien’s Auctions, will end on 25 August, with bidding available online.

The collection features sneakers from brands including Nike, Jordan Brand, Puma and Adidas, with the shoes being offered in their original boxes. According to Julien’s Auctions, this is the largest single-sale collection of Eminem material ever offered at a public auction.

From Slim Shady to the sneaker archive

Released in 2024, Eminem’s last solo album, “The Death of Slim Shady” (Coup de Grâce), featured 19 tracks with the theme revolving around the rapper’s battle with his alter ego.

But Slim Shady’s influence has extended beyond Eminem’s music. Over the years, his sneaker collaborations and limited-edition designs have often drawn on different parts of his career, including his albums and his stage persona.

The latest auction now brings together more than 100 pairs from that personal sneaker archive, including some associated with key moments in his career.

The collection includes custom Air Jordan 3s that Eminem wore during the Super Bowl LVI halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige. Two pairs of Air Jordan 3 “Slim Shady” sneakers were created specifically for Eminem’s Super Bowl appearance and signed by the rapper.

“Marshall has always expressed his personal style through his sneakers, and he has amassed quite a collection throughout the years. We are excited to offer an opportunity to own a piece of his personal collection, including some grails, while supporting the cause that is so meaningful to him,” said Paul Rosenberg, president of Shady Records and CEO of Goliath Artists, Inc.
